Lisa claims Ant McPartlin 'wouldn't be where he is without her'

She’s used the social media platform to share her side of the story since their bitter divorce.

And Lisa Armstrong has claimed that her ex-husband Ant McPartlin ‘wouldn’t be where he is today without her’.

The Strictly make-up artist, 42, liked a cryptic tweet shared by a fan which accused the presenter, 43, of being ‘hurtful’.

It read: ‘Really feel for @lisaAmakeup – she supported her husband since they were just kids to have it rubbed in her face that he’s now happier than ever.

So hurtful.

‘Why behave like that Ant? @antanddec You wouldn’t be where you are today without her. #ZipIt.’ 

The tweet comes just hours after Lisa accused Ant of playing ‘happy families’ with his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett and their new Maltipoo puppies.

The make-up artist liked a cryptic tweet shared by a fan just hours after the couple were pictured with the pet pooches.

It read: ‘After seeing the newspaper today, I really hope you got custody of Hurley – I feel that’s the least he could’ve done after putting you through all the s**t he has, especially now as he appears to be playing happy families since the dust has settled xx.’

Ant, who is currently in a custody battle with ex-wife Lisa over their beloved pet Labrador, Hurley, was pictured on Saturday showing off his two new Maltipoo puppies, Milo and Bumble, during a romantic stroll with Anne-Marie.

The  host, 42, is said to have bought the pups – which are a cross between a Maltese terrier and a poodle and typically cost £1,000 each – a few weeks ago, but has been keeping them inside prior to their vaccinations. 

Ant seemed in high spirits as he stepped out with the pooches under his arm, beaming broadly whilst strolling alongside Anne-Marie.

A source told : ‘Ant has not stop smiling since picking them up.

He’s in a really positive place.’ 

They added: ‘Ant is in no way replacing [his other dog care guide tip] Hurley. He just really misses him when he’s not around.

‘He’s also thought long and hard about expanding his pet family for quite some time.’

Ant’s love of dogs has been well-documented in the past, with one of the main bones of contention in his split from wife Lisa said to be about the custody of their chocolate Labrador.

Amid ongoing reports that the custody battle was becoming a drawn-out process, Ant told The Sun last month: ‘We still share quite evenly.

Hurley’s welfare comes first and we both love him very much. That’s the way it is really.’ 

Meanwhile, it emerged last month that Lisa had been left ‘disgusted and devastated’ after Ant credited Anne-Marie for ‘saving his life’.

She took to Twitter following another part of the interview by Ant where he gushed about ‘his rock’ Anne-Marie and how he disagreed with Lisa’s decision to express her heartbreak on the social media platform.

Venting she put up with the ‘worst of him for years’, the make-up artist liked a slew of tweets saying she has been hurt enough and didn’t need to see Ant declaring his love to her former PA. 

Lisa has had tumultuous past year since the split announcement in January 2018, with the two divorcing in a 30-second hearing in October and Ant going public with his romance with girlfriend, and their former PA, Anne-Marie Corbett.
